"Sixty Minute Man" has been credited to Billy Ward and Rose Marks, and it was Billy Ward's Dominoes that first recorded it in 1951 and made it the sensational R&B hit that it became. Singing with The Dominoes at that time was Clyde McPhatter who covered it after becoming a solo artist upon his departure from The Drifters.
