You could say that was a special event: the concert took place exactly one month before the death of Bill. And it was the eve of his last birthday.

Gorgeous. Possibly my favorite Bill Evans composition--maybe along with "Turn Out the Stars" and "Letter to Evan". It's getting harder and harder for me to decide, lately.
