Last week set a new record for the number of sets that we accommodated, with 16 different performances. John Matheson kicked off followed by Derek Currie, Mike Barr, Darwin Bruce and William Beauvais. The Dock Spiders trio (Chris Harris, Kerry Burnett and Josh Sutton) next did a wonderful feature set that ran into overtime as the crowd toe-tapped and bopped along to their melodic repertoire. Inventive young Savvy Dees did his first turn on the stage here and was joined by his mother Carla Dees singing backup vocals with him. Then Sebastian Agnello, Kevin Davies, Brian Pickard, Bruce Jones, Nicola Vaughan, Bela Ray, Nicole Dunn (backed by John Kirkley and Brian Pickard on guitars), John Kirkley solo and finally, well after 2 a.m., Stevie McLaughlin, all performed.
