Over the years, we've tried many chicken recipes in the crock pot. More recently, we've been venturing into roasts to change up our dinners and also to share with you some great meals that you can share with your family. This 3 Packet Crock Pot Roast won't disappoint you or the family.

Just recently, we bought a new crock pot, Hamilton Beach 4.5 Quart Slow Cooker, because we were finding that our Rival 6 Quart Crock Pot was a bit too big. This smaller crock pot is perfect for a family of 4 and fits in the dishwasher much better.

Following are the ingredients you will need to prepare this crock pot recipe. We are using our new Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker, but any brand will do.

3 Packet Crock Pot Roast

Ingredients:

1.5 to 3 lb roast
6 to 8 small red potatoes
Packet of McCormick Grill Mates Peppercorn & Garlic Marinade
Packet of Italian Salad Dressing
Packet of Ranch Dressing
3 Cups of water

Directions:

Brown roast in a frying pan until browned. Place roast into crock pot. Add potatoes, Peppercorn & Garlic Marinade, Italian Salad Dressing & Ranch Dressing. Rub mixture into meat.

Pour 3 cups of water over entire mixture.

Cook for 8 hours on low.

Enjoy!

  • @FitMarriage, Won't all those packet seasonings make the roast too salty? Take Care!

  • @skoggit This did turn out a bit salty if I remember. What I would do instead is to add 1/2 a packet or less of each. That would do the trick IMO. Cheers.

  • We didn't make the gravy per se. The mix that was left in the crock pot is what we used for our gravy. If you wanted you could use the liquid mix, put it into a frying pan and add flour or corn starch to thicken it up. Enjoy!

  • Great! You have made this as simple as possible with no fuss, amazing. I have but one question, how do you make the gravy?
