WWZN Boston 1510khz MW DX Reception

My First MW reception of station outside of Western Europe and North Africa !!!

Received in South Wales at 0145ish UTC.

Sorry no ID, will see if I can get one at the hour.

IDed via Webstream, also heard call sign on same frequency and same person at the same time last night.

What kind of receivers should one use for receiving distiant signals. Currently I live in Buffalo and KMOX in St.Louis is the farthest I've received.

Why not start out with an Eton E5 like in this video.

@foamer4269I agree with remlap, I own the Eton E5 and they are a little gem of a radio. either that or I think something like the target hf3 would be a good starting receiver as it is designed as a communications receiver. The Target hf3 is so simple to use, A tuning knob, four mode buttons.. an on and off knob and a clarifier for working the ssb modes (upper and lower) I have the the basic set, it has one memory channel.

dont let its simplicity put you off, it is a very capable receiver.

WWZN 1510 is a frequent guest here in Germany, too.

Try out for WEGP on 1390 from Maine, also easy to catch ! :-)
