Do What is Right! CSEA Chapter 490 Rallies for Rights

CSEA Ohlone Chapter 490 brought together classified members, staff, family and friends in a rally for their rights at Ohlone Community College in Newark, California. The following day, the CSEA negotiating team met with the district and achieved total success. Chapter President, Linda Evers said, "We have sent the newest language to Field Director, Keith Pace for his approval. It is CSEA's language and CSEA's terms." The victory was in large part attributed to the combined efforts of the members and staff who mobilized to pressure the district into "doing the right thing." Keith Pace, California School Employee Association Field Director said, "This show of support has empowered Ohlone chapter members. They now have a solid sense of how their actions - when executed through an effective strategy - can result in success." A ratification meeting date is pending.
