How To Draw War Machine by Evan Burse. After seeing "Iron Man 2", I fell in love with War Machine's costume. I decided to sketch him using a set of Cool Grey Markers from DickBlick.com

STEPS:
1) Begin by lightly sketching out the rough form using the 10% Grey marker. Don't worry about messing up because this will not be seen later.
2) Use the 20% Grey marker to darken the parts you like.
3) Grab the Pigma Micron black pen to begin drawing the final details.
4) After all the inking is done, use a combination of the 30%, 40%, 50%, 60% Grey markers to get the value you need.

  • @PusStephen I'm the same way. I think the way you start doing them on your own are just learning the character. If you use basic shapes and basic body structure, then adding your own details from memory start to come easier. Also, using references help too.

  • Hey Evan I got a question. Do you draw all your characters by memory? Because I love drawing but I cannot for the life of me draw a character without looking at a completed picture. This leaves me feeling like im no good at art...since im just imitating the original. I just want to know if you guys have the talent to memorize all the characters or if you also look at an original picture for reference.
