The Shaker Village at Watervliet, once call Niskayuna, was the first Shaker settlement and is today being restored in part. Much work left to be done, but worth a trip to visit. Museum is free and tours can be aranged for a nominal fee. Founder Mother Ann is buried in the cemetery there.
