THIS ROCK VERSION OF THE ARMY BUGLE CALL "REVEILLE" CHARTED AT #25 IN 1959. ""Reveille" is a bugle call most often associated with the military; it is chiefly used to wake military personnel at sunrise. The name comes from "réveille" (or "réveil"), the French word for "wake up". (WIKIPEDIA)

  • OH YEAH! THIS WAS MY SONG I PLAYED TO OPEN MY RADIO SHOW AT WXVX 1510AM TRUE PITTSBURGH OLDIES IN MONROEVILLE PA. I WENT ON THE AIR AT 0600 EVERY MORNING. I WAS KNOWN AS THE COLONEL. THANKS.

  • @irishgypsy100- you are very welcome! Ron

  • 'Alright you guys rise & shine!", I like the way this instrumental starts out otherwise i'll go on to say this isn't my favorite by the boys, Instrumentals were a big buisness back in the doowop era and very few of us are open to the fact. There were probably no less than 5 inst. on the top 40 chart on any given week in the early 60's but nobody would assume that. thx4 postin'

  • whatever happened to these guys? their songs were great. Great sax work.

  • @boomerboy12 Hey Boomer! Are you (or anyone else) aware of a cover version by a band called "The Titans"? I just heard it from volume 7 of Buffalo Bop's CD "Strictly Instrumental" series. I loved all of the J&TH stuff while growing up in WI.

  • One of my very favorite instrumentals from the '50s...

  • GREAT !

  • My Dad wrote this song (1958 I think). I still get a kick out of it.

  • Back in the 60"s when my brother was in the service his drill Sargent would play this song every morning.Rock On Mike

  • Great tune but wrong version, not the '59 hit but a later attempt. Original has more . . . . .

  • who wodda thunk that a group could take traditional stuff and rock the hell out of it?i just love J&H's tunes

  • @hitcharts i used misty mountain hop by led zep to let the neighbors in the upstairs apt know the party was over.it worked!

  • One of the best bands of their time . FANTASTIC MUSIC.
