Manta: Sea World Orlando: Front Row POV Video via Blackberry Storm 9530: B&M Flying Coaster:

Here we are, WEEKS before official memorial day opening, and thanks to my sister, I was able to preview the ride from the FRONT ROW. Yes, the quality isnt great, yes, I know it shakes, and yes, its choppy, but its the FRONT ROW, and hell, I just had to post it. Its my first attempt to get a POV Front Seat Video, learned some lessons, but here it is, in all its glory.

do you get wet when you go through the water bit?

no, you do not get wet. unlike sheikra @ busch gardens. manta doenst actually dip into the water. sheikra utilizes its "rooster tail" for show and also to slow the coaster down. but, jets hiddin in the water are timed to go off as the wing of manta dips near the water to give the appearance of splash, but in reality its all smoke and mirrors ;-)

I thought it was supposed to take you through aquariums and stuff...I havn't found a video yet that shows that.

after passing the lockers/employee greeter/height check, and enter the queue line for Manta, you go through a set of well themed "underwater" caves, which ends at a fork where the line splits into both loading areas. While in these caves, you pass wall after wall of aquarium with various sea life from rays to sharks, with one LARGE aquarium in about the middle with a massive number of rays. The queue is very similar in fashion to the way Dueling Dragons was built.

I went on it today...IT WAS FUCKIN AWESOME!!!!!! The G force is really heavy. I ended up with a headache after I rode it.

Jason you do not get wet on Sheikra either, the water tubes are right on the bcak of the carriage. You only get wet if you stand underneath the ride watching where you get a big wave splashes over the side, Its a great ride, Im looking forward to trying out Manta when I get to visit again
