She's legitimately a superstar. Everyone in the world knows about her, and a large portion listen to and buy her music.
Never said Madonna wasn't the queen, but Gaga has a huge fanbase, and a lot of fame... so I don't see the point in underrating her.

I am so tired of watching Madonna videos and sifting through the Gaga/Madge war. Seriously. Madonna said what she said about Gaga being "reductive" but still gave her props...everyone and I mean everyone has copied Madonna. Madonna is not the only one that Gaga has been "inspired" by you can see Madonna,Cher,Bowie,and Alice Cooper in Gagas' performances...who cares everyone was inspired by someone and only time will tell if Gaga will soar on...remember many people said Madonna wouldn't last.

Without Madonna, there'd be no Gaga at all. No one can say Gaga won't be around in 25 years, just like no one could say Madonna wouldn't be then. Just calm. They're both amazing.
I do love the amount of people using the word "reductive" now though, when 80% probably didn't know what it meant before.
