  • Look for the first vehicles to arrive in showrooms as early as mid-January.

Once you take it for a test drive, I think you will like it.

  • Saturn VUE greenline: 25 city/32 high way $24,795

    vs.

Ford Escape hybrid: 34 city/31 high way $25,075

    VUE is $280 cheeper.

VUE only beats the Escape hybrid by 1 gallon on the highway.

Escape beats the VUE by 9 gallons in the city.

The electric motor of the Escape can propell the vehicle by its self.

When is the 2-mode VUE out?

  • Thanks for your comment. To clairify, using the new 2008 EPA fuel econony estimates, the Escape gets 34 city and 30 highway, while the Vue Green Line gets 27 city and 32 highway.

The Escape is a good vehicle, but for $25,075, it is a faily basic model. The Vue Green Line comes with a higher level of standard equipment.

The two-mode Vue Green Line will arrive in 2008 -- a more specific time will soon be announced, so stay tuned.

  • The Vue 2 mode production will begin late this year, so the vehicles should begin to arrive at retailers in December.

  • MPG?

  • The mileage number will not be determinded until we get a bit closer to production. A very conservative estimate would be an increase of 50-60 percent over the non-hybrid V6, which gets 16 city/23 highway.

  • I will pray for all of you employees of Saturn even though I feel cheated by your company by your not helping me with my damaged vehicle. God bless. jason and family

  • the 2 mode you can literally disable the gas engine and only run on battery.

  • ford is slow

  • What is the advantage of the 2 mode coming out over the standard greenline?

  • I would still take Ford. The Ford is way better on the fuel economy.

  • Nice looking vehicle; seeing a lot of the standard models here. I'm going to test drive one when they hit the dealership, as I love my Jeep now, but monthly gas expense is topping $400 - getting 15 mpg.
