  • Great Videos!!!!! I live in SA Texas and I am a 1st time gardner. I just started a raised bed square foot garden using 4x8 untreated wood. I was told AFTER I made my beds that using untreated lumber would bring termites. I am trying to be totally organic and used Boiled Linseed Oil to treat the lumber. Was I wrong for doing that?? Will be alright for my vegetables?

  • Reply from Bruce Deuley: Untreated lumber does not necessarily draw termites but it will not last more than a few years unless in was a wood like Cedar which will last longer. I now make all my beds with native rock or cinder block.Last forever.
