    Lat pulldowns are one of the best excercise to cheat on, it's mainly because even if you swing with your body it's still a very isolated excercise..

    Who cares if the trains this way? Some people get better results with a little cheat, some don't.

    Even Dorian and other IFBB pro's have said that they cheat on a lot of excercises because they get better results that way.

  • Exactly. If you don't use any momentum whatsoever on this movement you will never lift more than around 60 kg, and your lats will show it. I'm sick of form-Nazis.

  • @a1pwn ok, but when you let the weight move and bounce with the weight at a rhythem you can get a big fat load of weight down and then sqeeze with your lats once its down there, it works for me?, plus its more satisfing with biger weight.

  • u lot do my head in. The reason y hes form is not correct is cos how heavy he is pulling. so on the way back down gravity is pulling making him swing but it a controlled swing. i bet u he would have no swing with less weight.

    But unless you try, u wont see why they pull heavy cos if the pull and do correct form u less likely to feel the burn, and it works for them

    i was doing lat pull downs wrong, went back after watching loads of vids, started doing them right and the amount of weight i shift was like cut in half.

    yeah il look like a dick for a while, but u gotta do the exercises right, its not some adult play set where you can just swing of machines and stuff

  • He trains hard but it isnt correct form,

    keep the shoulders low @ the top movement

    Dont swing with your body to get the weight down,

    Sit stil 100% , only move your Muscelus latissimus dorsi untill the neck height.

    But what if u want to take alot of weight down?

    Then take less reps , but keep the form correct
