sabres fan.... somewhat biased i guess ... playfair was the best fighter in sabres history and one of the best i've ever seen in the nhl....an absolute beast in a time when fighting was real
-
@BoyJewish Larry Playfair was born in Fort St. James (Norther BC), He is form Canada and is a baptised Roman Catholic...
-
How is it Playfair never fought Dave Schultz?
-
Now I remember why he was one of my favorite hockey players when I was growing up.
-
My brothers are best friends with their sons,(:
-
hes my neighbor
-
I never knew that! I loved Bob Kauffman on the early Braves...now he was a Jew! Did the Braves pick first second or third overall?
-
Yes, why they took Hummer and not Calvin Murphy is one of the great mysteries of the Braves. Larry is Roman Catholic BTW, goes to our church, great family!
-
I loved the Buffalo Braves growing up. Do you know who their first draft pick was? John Hummer from Princeton (and a Jew). Hummer was a bummer. He sucked. Playfair was not one of us? He had the facial features of us.
-
Cherry once said of him "he was one of the 5 best fighters in NHL history". Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet also, so is his wife Jayne. Just good people.
-
He's not jewish either!
-
Ooops...Jewish canadian!
-
Love the beating he put on Clark!
And on Curran too!
-
Larry Playfair was one ofthe greateset Jewish-American hockey players ever! Go get em Larry!
-
Great Playfair video. Much better than the other tribute that had more views and comments. People should watch this one instead, cause Don Cherry was priceless.
-
One of the only times "they" let cherry do the color commentary, classic.
-
omg thank you man!!!
sorry i forgot to check my mail but thanks
-
i saw him at church yesterday (:
-
Love the beating he put on Nilan. This happened very rarely. Too bad Playfair and Behn Wilson never hooked up. Also would love to see his fights with Semenko.
