@Lenar2541 the brakes are good, i have the 1st gen 400 outlander max xt and the brakes are great and there is alot of engine braking too
-
I've read that the breaks are no good on the outlander 400, is it true? Is it dangerous in difficult terrain?

@luvmyctd That's probably how I knew about visco-lok by the older model of Can Am. But I do know that Polaris don't unlock at certain speed. It locks all the time. I own a 2010 Polaris Sportsman xp 550 efi and there's options on the handlebar you can choose it as one with differental locking or with locking. There's 3 options such as 2x4, 4x4 (which is basically differential) and then 4x4 locking. But on the switch of 4x4 locking, all of 4 wheels never slips.
-
@joshiesworld That's the older visco lok ... the new QE engages pretty much immediately. My 2011 does anyway. And my buddies PoPo unlocks at a certain speed (higher speed, I can't remember) whereas the Visco stays in 4x4 at any speed.

@TripJ518 yeh sure

@WhisperInThaDrk i know this is an old video, but this particular comment made me laugh. i can remember when i first got my foreman 500. it was completely stock. the first week i had it, it was lifted 2" and was rolling on 27" outlaws. the very first group ride i'd ever been on, the dude behind me had 29.5 swamplites, and i was pulling him out with my tow strap all day long. you can't really compare the two tires. and rider experience helps. but, if the rider makes the bike, then outlaws help.
-
watch the dude on the can am at 45 seconds.....lol
-
@mudbug100 Polaris are best known as their 4x4 comparing to Can Am. Polaris has all on demand 4x4, which pretty much no differential, it spins all the time all four tires. Can Am has visco-lock which is a differential that always delay for about five to ten seconds in front left tire. There's many videos that will show that.

@sportsman335 bull shit
-
@dodgestrength the one that beat the other one out of the mud
-
@ariel4more truly spoken. although i wouldn't have a polaris, i am die hard can-am.
i would recommend the solid axle honda's for reliability. i beat my new outtie like a rented mule and i expect someday something will break or fail, only because of what i did to it.
-
@sportsman335 Before making comments you had better do a little research. Visco Lock has been around for a few years. And you are incorrect as to how it works. Do some reading before berating others. BTW I have a 650 HO XT. Can - Am is a beast!
-
which ones the outlander 400
-
@xxrunescapexx456 that is most definitely a lie unless you have a 2011 outlander, and on the difflock thing idk if you are aware or not but polaris isnt always diff locked, it only kicks in when the rear wheels slip a fraction, so when turning it doesn't do shit :) have a nice day
-
@sportsman335 ur a fucking idiot i have a outlader that thing ripes shit up the visco lock comes on like 2 sec after ur wheel isnt spinning so u dont do enything and diff lock u need to put in defore and it fucks up ur quad if turning or enything
-
@sportsman335 as if i was quaddin with a friend and we were going threw thick shit like silt and clay and he had tires that dont grip worth a shit and the front diff was turnin both wheels just one....with stock tires they were pretty much bald and it couldnt turn both...while i had mud-lite and i had my front diff locked up going threw it no problem!
-
@mudbug100 your smoking crack huh, polaris is full locking and i know mine has never ever slipped and or spun only 3 wheels, plus i dont have to wait for visco lock its immediate
-
haha bombardier is better...polaris sucks look at the front end on a bombardier and a polaris the front end on the polaris the spring on the polaris let out and the front end bends down and doesnt keep the tires vertical plus the front diff on polaris dont lock up as well
-
@tipher94 ya the 4wd on popos are alot bettter..polaris is the best!
-
@jon35732 r u stupid?? in this shit the 100cc less dont fucking matter..its the driver and tires!!!
Just shut up and enjoy the video....
