Notice the visuals. Everything starts to blur, delay, and things begin to melt. You notice that colors are more vivid and bright. Reality begins to fade, you forget where you are and what you are doing. As you go in and out of reality, you start to become one with yourself and the universe. You are tripping.
I am dedicating this portion of the description to user comments.
-In my opinion, psychedelic mushrooms are one of the most important and rewarding experiences of your life. I am an experienced user, and can say without a doubt, that it is the most amazing spiritual experience a person can have. If taken correctly(see Terence Mckennas interpretation) it allows an individual to explore their "inner self". It is extremely difficult to put into words, because words cannot justify or explain the experience you have. Mushrooms allow us to be lifted from the plane of social conditioning and expectations that are so familiar to all of us. It allows one to observe his/her reality from a 'higher' and 'wiser' perspective through activating our Pineal gland.(traditionally called the third eye). Most people experience successive beautiful complex geometric patterns that you can literally "feel" through emotions. All emotions seem to pass through a person simultaniously as these patterns grow larger and more detailed. Eventually, at the peak of the trip, an experienced user can lift themselves to a higher dimension through concentrated thought and intent. This is where it becomes hard to describe in words, but I will do my best. After seeing successive geometric patterns grow larger and more detailed, a 'tunnel' light appears in the middle of these "kaleidoscope-like" patterns. )If your fortunate enough you'll reach this void-like dimension made of intelligent light and energy. Strangely enough this place seems very "familiar", like I have been there before(not including my previous mushroom trips) It made me realize that we are all connected at a fundamental level, that we are all the same eternal "consciousness" (or whatever you want to call it) having a subjective experience in this lower dimension of being. I think our higher self is a piece of God/Creator/Source. -TruthForums-

make sure you clear your head of any thoughts, things that have been bothering you, or anything. I'd say listen to a happy song, close your eyes, and let the song clear your mind. Be with your closest friends. I'd say get a full nights sleep, wake up early with your friends and eat them right when you get up, leaving yourself little time to worry about it or think too much. happy tripping :] -ogjzs777-
-First of all, there is no way to know what to expect, it is individual experience The keys to having a good time for me
1. Prepare your environment - clean your house, have your favorite music on, have a comfortable place to relax like a couch or pile of blankets on the floor.
2. Clear your schedule. Multitasking is not an option. You wont realistically be able to do anything other than trip.
3.) Phones off! This is key.
4.) No Worries. Don't trip if you're stressed. -Fencecat422-
-I loved the inner monologue you had going on in there. Captured it brilliantly. Walking alone outside late at night, feeling like a lone explorer on the ultimate quest, looking around at a world that is as alien as anyone could possibly imagine, you realize that LIFE is the ultimate trip! Oh god... I'm calling my dealer. -celestefustion-
All these people who think they have reached some kind of spiritual understanding, when they just are stating the obvious. sigh......

@SwedishHammerHawk Isn't spiritual understanding gained through discovering the obvious amidst the intricacies of life?
