I was about 9 or 10. I played FFVI and FFVII but never had a love scene gotten me so worked up. I played it again at 12 BARELY making it through the game because I really wanted to show my family what was so awesome about this game so I rushed through getting to the story. They loved it.

Then we get to space. Rinoa is drifting away. Me, my mom and sister are about to burst and I FORGET HOW TO SAVE RINOA. Mashing every button so hard. We were in tears. Everyone screaming "SAVE HER..!"

This song always reminds me of when Squall saved Rinoa in space.One of the most romantic moments in the history of Final Fantasy.

FFVIII. When I first played it I had already played through FFVII and the love story that it had made me hate the game with a passion. (Not to mention the tedious draw system which i had no idea was so important the first play through) I played it when I was 11 years old, but every time i played through the story I gain something more out of it which in turn changed myself and my outlook on the game. Now it has one of my favorite soundtracks in any game and my complete respect for its deep story

I remember when I was little I always wanted to be a hero like Squall. I wanted a girl that looked and acted exactly like Rinoa. I wanted to go on some grand adventure when I got older..and then I grew up and I realized that I will never have any of those things, and only memories of someone that I will never know.It's sad.

Except of course the FF7 soundtrack. FF7 and FF8 were both phenomenal scores and Uematsu did an amazing job.

Oh man, I don't respond to sentimental or romanticised stuff usually, but I'm a sucker for nostalgia. I was around 13 or 14 when I played this game and this song...fuck...it really gets to me.

Amazing what a game can do to you when no movie and no book ever could. I can listen to this entire soundtrack to this day (I'm 26 now) and still feel fucking moved. Nothing else comes close.
