I just learned the rest of the song last night. Around thirty minutes to get the chords down, another thirty minutes of just playing it over and over again to burn it into my muscle memory.
I recorded one of me playing it normal speed, but it turned out REALLY bad, and I couldn't be bothered to record another one, so I'll do that later.
I know I made some mistakes in this one, and I could hear the mistakes while playing (but hey, my old guitar teacher said that the fact you can recognize when you make mistakes in the first place is a good thing. When trying out for All County last year, he said he was proud whenever one of us cringed when we hit a wrong note XD). But what can I say, I was playing it super fast, so I'm bound to make some mistakes.
Anyways, yeah, Dust in the Wind by Kansas.
I might have gotten the rhythm wrong at some points, cause I had to learn some of it just by ear while listening to other people play it on guitar (had to find ones with just guitar in it too, cause whenever they were singing while playing, their voices would drown out the guitar and I wouldn't be able to hear what comes next)
Anyways, now I'm just criticizing myself to no end. I'm gonna stop typing. Like I said, I'll probably get a normal speed one up sometime. I'll probably also get up some chords I've been working on (I've been told they're very good, so :/)
Oh, and I couldn't be bothered to do any sort of editing on this video (too lazy). So I just imported it from my brother's Flip, and uploaded it straight to YouTube exactly as it was. Because I'm lazy. So very lazy... Ah, Spring Break has been turning out to be very boring so far. Oh well, at least I might be going to Busch Gardens. Maybe. Probably not, but whatever...
awesome! i want to learn how to be faster, but when i play this, i use two fingers, which are my index and middle...im trying to get use to the normal way of finger picking but it feels wierd.

@XxPandemoniumxX100 Thanks And yeah, it does feel weird at first, but if you continuously practice enough, you should be able to get used to it : ). Don't worry, it happens to all of us. I was trying a new style of strumming chords with my fingers and thumb instead of pics, and at first I really tore up my fingers since I wasn't used to it, but after a lot of practice I like to think I've gotten used to it. If you keep a positive attitude about it, you should be fine. Just don't give up : ).

Great job! You sure learned that song fast & you didn't make a whole ton of mistakes. And since you just learned that song & where playing it so fast, thats very good!

@xxleaftrailxx Thank you : D. It's actually a really easy song to learn. And once you've got the hand motions down, you can just speed it up or slow it down to your liking. Muscle memory is an awesome thing XD.
