Nio Ajero performs "Canon in D" by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706), arranged by Fred Kern.

This piano arrangement comes from the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library Piano Lessons Book 5:

MIDI accompaniment is played through a beta version of Home Concert Xtreme on the iPad controlling the tone generator on a Yamaha Disklavier Mark IV Pro Grand Piano:

  • How do you connect the iPad to piano? How does the iPad know what key you're pressing? Good playing by the way!

  • @MrJason905 Thanks! It is a Yamaha Disklavier Piano. So it has MIDI IN/OUT functionality. With a USB MIDI interface and the iPad Camera Connection kit, we can connect the iPad to the piano.

  • @mariocast whats the intro song? Sorry this is the second time asking but i figured someone would of answered by now... Great work though!

  • @squashduck It's the same piece: a piano arrangement of Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel. Listen starting at 1:57, you'll hear the same excerpt.

  • Hi - which app are you using on the ipad ?

  • @thecornucopian76 It's a beta version of Home Concert by TimeWarp Technologies. Their website address is in the video description and at the end of the video: 2:50
