my dad has a bike like that but its a 85 and it still has the baffle and its even louder

hey man nice i have a 93 xr250l and its the one with the muffler the size of a child i want to remove my baffle but in true reality there is none like on newer modles its 4 bolts easy how did u do urs it looks the same as mine

Yeah, I was about to say the same thing, cause I had an 84 XR200, and they and the XR250's looked the same around that year model.

sorry to bust a bubble guys but the metal tanks only came out on XL 250 but somebody could have put on the metal tank.
even the 81 xr250 (which was the first monoshock xr) had a plastic tank.

ive got 1 looks exactly the same and when i brought it they told me xr 250 aswell ? how do u tell the difference between xr and xl ? and i agree with chris theyre awesum and fast as ! very smooth ride too - cant wait to get back out in the pines.

There should be a model information sticker up on the front of the frame underneath the handlebars.

yeah, they are fast as s***, you'll need to hold on. the suspension is amazing you'll be surprised at how fast you can go on trails. you can also spin the tires through about third gear.
