"Two-Minute Soups" is a series of videos to inspire you to participate in a great, new and SOUPER initiative... Soup for Life 2011.

Many of the best restaurants in Dublin and Cork are participating in gorta's National Soup Week commencing 8th April 2011. For every soup sold during National Soup Week at participating restaurants, EUR1 will be donated to gorta.

However, for everyone who is unable to make it to Cork or Dublin to participate in this way, we're asking all you soup lovers and foodies alike to help gorta make hunger history in your own home!

Sometime during National Soup Week (April 8th-15th) gather family, friends, work or club colleagues over a pot, bowl or cup of soup and make a contribution to gorta's work fighting hunger in sub-Saharan Africa.


SOUP IT UP IN 6 EASY STEPS...

1 Get going! Pick a date and a time to host your event

2 Get inviting! Ask your family, friends, work or club colleagues to come along

3 Get preparing! This video series might help you decide which soup to prepare, or you might just decide to buy some quick soups... just make sure you have some bread for dipping!

4 Contribute! Ask your guests to make a small contribution -- even €1 -- to gorta's work overseas

5 Phew! Now you have everything set up, the final ingredient is plenty of bowls and spoons... Get ready to SOUP IT UP!

6 And finally! There are many ways to submit the money that you raise. You can donate online, by phone or simply sending your donation to gorta,
