The road so far... and what's coming up next.

For those who haven't been following along, the whole idea was to build a cheap drag car - something that could run 13-second quarter mile times for under $1300. Well we've done that and there still more in the budget, so now we're going for 12s.

Overdrives aren't very strong, they tend to crap out when you put any kind of power through them. They're only there for fuel economy.

Falcon's aren't really worth anything, which is strange because they're good cars, but the used car market in Australia is crap these days. I just tried selling another Falcon I have and it's better than this one and the bids only went to just over $400.

Any chip will kill the speed limiter and be able to be tuned for nitrous, can pick them up 2nd hand for around $100

check out the J3 chips. you can get them from tiperformance. com you can select a bunch of pre-made tunes, or give them details, dyno sheets etc for a custom tune. im pretty sure i picked mine up for $125 from memory, worked a treat, can change anything withing the cpu from that little chip
