Holding the brake down when the front end starts up is such a hard habit to brake.

...oh good, the horn still works! It should still pass inspection.

@gmccord1970 check the regional forums in your area and tag along with a group. you'll start off with easier trails and as u slowly start to build ur jeep ie. lift it, bigger tires, regear, you'll slowly start going on tougher trails. but more importantly find a local group who can show u the steps and help you with anything that breaks, or upgrades. worked for me and just months later i was out doing fairly difficult terrain in a jeep. ur stock wrangler can do alot more than u think offroad

@gmccord1970 Takes practice my friend. Only way to learn is to go out and do it. Always helpful to have a person with experience to help you navigate the best lines to take when you get into harder terrains. No matter how long one has been wheelin and no matter how much experience one has mother nature can always bite ya in the ass! Thats just the nature of the beast ya know.

Honest question here. Is there a school or professional 4 wheeling training that a person can undertake before trying this hobby? I'm a Jeep Wrangler owner and the only 4 wheeling I do is sand dunes and winter driving. I'd love to do this type of trail rides but it looks more complicated than it looks and understanding physics and terrain would be helpful. It seems that most people that do this stuff really don't know what their doing.
