I am 24 and had a neck injury and the first doctor just told me to take ibiprofin, and rushed me out the door as I was crying. All I wanted was for him to tell me what is wrong, a disc? a muscle strain? I was in so much pain for months that I had to quit my job, I couldnt sit or stand longer than an hour at a time. I got a second opinion with a chiropractor student, a friend of mine, and she gave me massage therapy for months for free..I am now pain free and doing well. The doc didnt give a shit

Went to the doctor 6 times because of cronic back pain that came from an accident. Got told there was absolutely nothing I could do about it (not saying what "it" was) by all 6 different doctors, and that I just had to live with it.

Three painful years later, I did my own research and it turned out I have a disc herniation. Today: self diagnosed, self rehabilitated, and more or less pain free.

And I was 19 first time at the doctors.

So they don't care, regardless of your age.
