  • You are lucky to live next to a railway. I wish I did!

  • Its wiked, trains rule, so stop moaning, what if the trains were replaced with hundreds or lorries every day, that would be worse

  • Well ITV have better film sequences - a webcam overnight caught four noisy brutes going past my bedroom window! A programme early next year will show these. We WILL win!

  • I'm not concerned with what happens as far as Alloa. From Alloa to Longannet Power station is a living hell at night, Something MUST be done - at least my petition has had some effect!

  • My point in commenting about being experienced, was that the video is aiming to distort the situation about the track being unsafe. It is behaving quite normally as the ballast cushions the impact of the heavy axleweight coal trains.

  • And yes I do know what its like having lived the same distance from a far busier main line than Stirling - Alloa

  • I know what the situation is thank you. You are actually wrong to say there are plenty of daytime slots, it will cost you half of your daytime passenger train service if you want the freights moved.

  • We have been complaining about the NIGHT-TIME noise since it began mid December! The line re-opened last April and is not a problem to most line side residents, and in general the railway is looked on as an asset to Clackmannanshire. However, the night time running is a huge problem to every resident. There are plenty of day time slots in the timetable for these night trains to be re-scheduled!

  • Perhaps you have a lot of railway experience but you do not have the experience of having to try to sleep 7 metres from the line! We are complaining about teh NIGHT-TIME noise!

  • This is a typical film and scare tactics being employed by people who know very little indeed about many things, in this case the logistics and behaviours of when a train passes. This IS what happens and is prefectly safe and the track looks in good order to me and is behaving exactly as it should.

I am a railwayman of some 26 years experience and am at best a little peeved at this series of videos.
