So here is a guitar that needs to be tuned twice, once for the strings, once for the control loop. It doesn't sound like progress. Arduino based control allows look-ahead and an integral term in the forward loop. No drum machine and better fidelity tuning to reveal the sub-bass string possible when no frets are used

  • Thanks. The strings are tensioned by DC gearmotors that are controlled by the pots in a feedback system--so it is a servo system but the motors are just plain motors. You can see details on the web if you search for Milwaukee servoelectric guitar.

  • I really like the melody. So is the gituar controlled by servos which are then controlled by levers/pots?
