The thing is centerfield was not country music but revival is its a lot different.

would have to disagree this is definately not fogerty's best album centerfield was,it had much better songs such as rockin roll girls,centerfield,and the old man down the road.

Brainnumber2: You really should change your user name because you don't have a damn brain. Did you get dropped on your head as a kid? This song is one of his absolute best. It's an instant classic. This is the best song on a truly great album. Possible Grammy?

This song is for children and the old and foolish. In a year or so it will be used in douche commercials on TV. And I think this song is better than all the rest except for Gunslinger, which is the only half decent song.
