Isn't believing, the first step on the road to salvation. Is believing in Jesus also believing his teachings? Is it not said be baptised in the name of Christ & also in the holy spirit? wherefore one thinks we are not to follow his teachings? Is Jesus not of GOD, True & Just by the word of his Father? Is it not said: by works you cannot be saved; but it is thy works that condemn us. Jesus said FOLLOW ME? Do we think not to follow his teachings but him? Trust his word, olive trees Mathew & John

the bible clearly states that the only way to be saved is believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED. it IS NOT OF WORKS lest any man should boast.if we add anything that we have to do to get salvation it becomes a works salvation .its retarted to think that sinful man would be able to have anything to do with our salvation. 2 timothy says to rightly divide the word of truth.this implies that if there is a right way there is also a wrong way.

777denny, you are not correct. so many people get it wrong by using vs's like acts 2:38 to say that you must be baptized to be saved. what you must understand that this vs is talking to jews and has nothing to do with our salvation. we knoe this cause the vs's prior to this is dealing with the jews realizing that they have crucified LORD. it says they believed what peter said and were pricked in their hearts and ask what must WE do. "jews"

You are not correct. Many verses state that one MUST be baptized for the forgiveness of sins. Most of Christianity perverts this part of the Gospel by saying it is a 'work.' and therefore not part of being born again. Remember, scripture CANNOT contradict itself. Gal. 3:27,Acts 8:26-40,Mark 16:16,1 Peter 3:21,Acts 22:16,Acts 2:38,Rom. 6:4. It really doesn't matter how many people do not believe this. Most of Christianity that I have seen has heaped a great amount of teachers telling them lies.
I'm always amazed at how the religious 'think' - this guy's just told you that you're "wretched, blind, naked & poor" and you argue about technicalities in an old book!
I deny the truth of all that he says and so should any thinking person. I hope you find freedom.
Peace.
