How to host a fabulous and frugal dinner party

Host a dinner party on a budget. Keep the number of guests to a minimum -- 4 couples is ideal. Ask each guest to bring a dish to share along with a bottle of wine. Create ambiance with small bouquets of seasonal flowers scattered around the gathering spaces. Set the mood with music by making play lists on your iPod -- then just plug and play. Another option is to assign each guest a course and ask them to bring the wine/beverage for that course. You make the food, they bring the drinks.
