  • The only thing I have trouble with is listening comprehension. In daily speech, I tend to miss a lot of letters/sounds which screws me up from time to time. Just takes practice. It really is a gorgeous language and we need more artists who sing in Swedish!

  • @DafieYo I agree the pronunciation is really tough for English speakers; there are a lot of exotic and fine vowel distinctions. But grammatically speaking, Swedish is a pretty standard Indo-European language. The most unusual aspect of it, I think, is the inflectional marking of definiteness. But that's not a very difficult thing to grasp. And verbal inflection in Swedish is really simplified. You don't have to conjugate verbs for person or number. Anyway, det är bara min upfattning.

  • @squizz222 But it's really different from most of the other big languages in the world. Not at all like spanish, english or french, for example. Not to mention the pronounciation ;S

  • Fin låt, lite lurig text, jabb till en farsa som stack(?)

  • @Ytterstify It's really not. The inflectional grammar is relatively simple, and the syntax is pretty standard for most European languages.

  • swedish is one of the hardest languges to learn

  • @crazybbob It's not very hard to learn.

  • She's so good, her voice beautiful and special so why not English versions? Perhaps she sucks in English though? I don't think so...Abba could sing in pretty good English, even though they sounded very Swedish when they spoke...

  • @MrJookeern Yeah I guess it might, or better yet I can better myself and take Swedish up as a fourth language.
