@bronzeknight2011 Ya i remember when those guys were interviewed a few years ago. They said they would hack together mods. It was the only way to mod back then. And thats how they made CS. Even thoe half life was open source, you still had to hack together stuff to get something going.

@halo6534 I'm not really sure, but you gotta have respect for guys like that back in the day. I mean they had nothing, and they made mods, games, videos, etc. out of scratch. I was always amazed at how the creators of CS could have made it back in the day, especially when they had nowhere near as much stuff as we do today. We have everything... they had almost nothing. Pure modding geniuses!

I remember playing the beta about 2 week after it came out in the summer of 1999. Ah it was really good. But the updates definalty helped shape it into the pop culture phenomenon it is today. The game now adays is basicly the same concept but changed and tweaked in many ways. Oh and another thing how the hell did you get a capture card in 1999? I didn't think those were even invented yet.
