@PAP4BEAR I can understand how you can think that, it's okay, you're not an idiot :) Melbourne has a lot of gardens, Fitzroy Gardens is just one of them, next to Treasury Gardens. Fitzroy Gardens is very close to the MCG, just the other side of Wellington Parade, but it's not a sporting ground. It does have Captain Cook's Cottage in it. Fitzroy used to play their home games at the Brunswick Street Oval in North Fitzroy. Not far away from where my Nana grew up as a child, actually.

Came to Australia this summer (your winter) and was in Brisbane. Have always wanted to see Aussie rules and really wanted to see after i went to the G and the museum and saw everything about it.
Went to see Lions vs Deamons at the Gabba and i must say i really got into it and really enjoyed it. I was supporting the lions and even though they lost i had a great time.
Brilliant sport , much tougher than Rugby and American football. They have nothing on Aussie rules :)
