outnumbered? Maybe on sea, but the Franco American troops were normally outgunned and outnumbered on land and still won 7 more victories than the British.
The burning of Washington is irrelevant, the Chesappeak campaign was a military failure that changed the outcome of the Ghent negotiations.
Besides, US had nearly 30% more victories in that war as well.
4 British landings were failures and an attempted move from Canada was stopped at Plattsburg
Im talking about the war of 1812. The major part of british north america's population was french at that time. If you don,t believe me go check your history books. I live in Quebec and this war was part of our history.
Just check the battle of Chateaugay, it says british victory when the commander was a french and the fighters were almost all french and natives.
my logic ? lol.... My logic is that what remained after the british defeat of 1783 in america was the old New France.
@iloveeverything219 well with your logic the acctual reveloutionary war was not an "american victory" as the large percentage of the population were of english ancestry soo...it was a civil war for us and werent interested in killing are own people :D
o and i wud like to see America taking on every single one of the most powerfull nations overseas whilst attempting to prevent invasion of your own country, bare in mind it took months by sea to re-supply and replinish losses
I do not agree that the ''english'' burned washignton, the majority of people living in british north america at that time were from french ancestry. At the beggining of the war, there was only a small garrison of british soldiers in Canada, most of the soldiers were recruited by the population and natives so calling it a ',british victory'' is incorrect.
Fighting spain ? The major part of spain was with England since they were pissed off of the french. But yea I see what you mean
@jizzymofojoe1 we did, the spanish dutch and french all helped the USICA win the war, and before the first world war, germany was one of our greatest allies!
@MayonaiseKing100 Ive seen both the US and the EU. and racism in the EU (especially western Europe) is far more profound the the deepest parts of southern USA. USA is a little kid in comparison to the EU when it comes to racism.
