That is some of the stupidest shit I've ever heard. You dont want/need your babydaddy around, but you want him to not be able to walk away. WTF. You dont have to be a couple to be parents together. It is totally possible for two people to raise a child together without them being in a romantic relationship with each other. Don't dis every dude because yours (& others) weren't doing right. A child deserves both parents, not just a momma who dont want a babydaddy but wants his money.

WHY ARE WE COMPLETELY BLAMIN THE FELLAS???? I am a female, so that is not the source of my bias. What women need to do is stop having unprotected sex and/or stop having babies out of wedlock. && then you wouldnt have a BABY DADDY, you`d have a HUSBAND!! I understand shit happens but it has become such a routine occurence that females should have enough brains to start taking the necessarry precautions to exclude themselves from the pandemic!

I hope that by now you have established paternity and is getting the help that you need. This is a sad issue in the black community. Some times even after paternity is established they guy never gives support b/c he has never work. The smartest thing that you can do is to NEVER allow this to happen again. I agree. Do Right and focus on healing.

I'm a father/daddy of a girl. I tell her I love her. I pay child support. I never denied her. Me and her mother are not together but we try raising her well. I want my child to learn what's right and wrong, making wise decisions, and not letting your emotions cloud her judgement. I want her to support herself without needing a man. I want her to pursue gainful education. But most of all I want her to teach her own child like I'm teaching her.

My friend is pregnant but her finance was shot and killed in a robbery at his job 2 months and people still blast her for being a single mom. I know single moms who take care of their kids and the baby daddy isn't in the picture and the kids turned out to be great.

I at least respect your HONESTY by *ADMITTING* that getting knocked-up without the benefit of some form of "commitment" was done *BY CHOICE* -- because if women did NOT "want" pregnancy, they would make the OTHER "CHOICE" to use one of a DOZEN different birth control methods available to them!
