Playing around with vehicles in RnL. We made our Opel Blitz drivable just for fun, although it was never meant to be viewed from the inside.

Hello RansoN! Good video, but, I have a question: (I geuss everybody asks) How did you made the Opel Blitz driveable? I knew it was possible by typing something in the console while you own a server, but I geuss this is something else. I just wanted to ask, can you send me a kinda "map file" where you made the Opel Blitz driveable, because maybe I want to make maps where you can drive cars sucks as Opel Blitz trucks. I also will credit you if I made a map with a driveable truck. Respong please!

First of all, I'm one of the Devs and this video was just a walkthrough of the map. Vehicles don't really work well in Multiplayer, laggs as hell with high player numbers, only 1 person can actually enter the vehicle at once and there's no 3rd person animation for the driver actually sitting in the truck.

In Alpha 4 its still available with the "makezeebroombroom" console command and sv_cheats 1.

Theoretically you could add a trigger into your map that fires 3 console commands (sv_cheats 1; makezeebroombroom; sv_cheats 0). Probably that wont work, but it's the only theoretical way to achieve it without hosting a listen server and spawning trucks yourself.

they actually should include vehicles in the game. jeeps for airborne and the halftracks for germans.

I hope one day somebody figures out how to port mods like this from pc to other consoles. I think it might work if for 1 you knew how to and for 2 you had the ok from microsoft or sony. thumbs up for the idea? ^~^
