For one, if the teachers are in any way on strike because of pay, they are a bunch of idiots. THEY ARE TEACHERS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! If they dont like the pay, why are they teachers? Seriously, they are just making fools of themselves. And for the curriculum side, it has been shown that the Bellevue students are doing better ever since Mike Riley came up with the curriculum they are using. I believe the teachers are a bunch of morons and if you agree with all that I have said, click thums up!

After talking to our Uniserv rep, it sounds like the district would have a hard time going through with the injunction. Personally I think this is a sign of things to come next fall when more and more big district contracts expire. It's scary but I support teachers because they are the ones in the classroom who know what's up and know the climate of their buildings.

Unless you were actually among the teachers during that time, I don't think you're qualified to make that judgment call.

Does this resemble Marysville to you ? They were out 49 days until they were forced back to work. Everyone lost on that. But the students were the biggest losers of all. What is wrong with going back while the conract is being worked out? They will get the retroactive pay increase, and the students they claim to love will stop having their education held hostage. In all my years I have not seen one walk out benefit anyone.

See my reply on one of the other videos. That really isn't accurate. There are many of the 75% that rejected the offer STILL because of curriculum, even though it is largely resolved, there were a few words that they are still willing to fight for.
I agree regarding the curriculum restrictions. As a businessman, my basic tenet was "hire good people that know their job, and let them do it." That's what makes money in business, not micro-managing. With that said, teachers have only themselves to blame. The WEA is one of the largest voting blocks in the State and could have nipped this in the bud any time in the past 11 years. Terry Bergeson, WASL and "No Child Left Behind" have done profound damage to our education system.

teachers aren't scum, unintelligent people like yourself who don't realize the issue at hand are scum.
it's not greed, it's getting their fair share that they have rightfully earned.
also, if you really watched the video they are striking to allow them to be teachers and teach unique lessons to their students instead of having the 'one-size-fits-all' district bullshit. trust me as a student, the districts stuff is crap, it only wasted me a few yrs of English i really needed
