This is part 2 (of 3) of my Crosman 2100 Classic series. In this vid, I put two different pellets, as well as steel bb's, over the chrony to see how fast they fly. I also tested the gun for accuracy using those same ammunition, shooting 10 shots for each at 25 yards.

The Crosman 2100 is a multi-pump pneumatic air rifle. It was known as the Crosman 766 when I was a kid. The gun is assemble in the United States, and is made from parts both foreign and domestic.

  • Having had both several Daisy and Crosman air rifles, I found that the Crosman hold up better over the years of usages. The Daisy stock and pump handle tended to break off over time even when used gently. Also, the Crosman was easier to work on and fix and held a better true once sighted in. Daisy seem made with "planned obsolescence" in mind while the Crosman is built more to last (for a plastic gun that is!). Hope that helps!

  • @jjm0580 I'm inclined to agree. I owned two daisys and two crosmans growing up. I "killed" them all, but the Crosmans lived longer. :)

  • wait you pump it 10 times after every shot? or every once and a while someone please hele me im going to buy this soon

  • @latdum Yes - you pump it 3-10 times for every shot, depending on how powerful you want it to shoot. 10 pumps is the maximum recommended by the manufacturer, and you will want at least 3 pumps if you are shooting pellets to guarantee they exit the barrel.

  • As a kid when i ran out of pellets and couldn't get to the store to buy any more. I would mod my BB's by putting a thin paper wad around the BB. The best paper you could use is that thin paper that fast food straws are wraped in. Note book paper is to thick. I would wet the thin paper & then wrapping the BB with 1 thin layer. Believe or not it held close to the same groups as a pellet.

The paper trick is the same concept as the black powder rifles with ball & patch. Try to give it a shot.

  • @mojsmg That is pretty wild - AND inventive. I remember those days - doing what you have to do to keep it shooting. For the last 6 months of my bb gun's life I pumped it with a pair of pliers.

  • I prefer the Crosman 1077 over this rifle. You can pick up the 1077 for about $60 for the base model. There are versions that cost up to $100 that come with the gun as well as some additional items. For the price, I think its much better, because of the ability to have follow up shots.

  • ( down a comment I forgot to state something) and an air gun that kills instantly

  • Im a "young shooter" mostly because I came across your videos, I was instantly hooked, so I thought I'd dig out my Daisy pellet/bb gun. My grandma has grackle problems so I killed a few, It took me about 2 shots to get it out of a tree. I and other people thought it was inhumane. My birthday is coming up and could you name a nice air gun for under 200 (US)? If so thanks alot. Reply at legowaffle22@aol.com thanks!!!

  • the most i ever pumpt one was 100hundred times

  • @EdgunUSA do you think you could do a hunting video with that gun i have one myself and i have taken about every kind of pest there is with it even a groundhog. oh and btw the daisy bbs shoot well out of this gun

  • Yep, my very first gun of any sort.

I eradicated dozens of starlings and House sparrows for the few years I had it.

  • I bought this gun after this review and it is great.

    Thank you very much.

  • I thought that target was way bigger. Damn that is pretty good.
