Last year, Ms. Walker's Biology class wanted to make a change by promoting an initiative for a cleaner enviornment within our school and local community. Our class volunteered with the Richmond Fruit Tree Sharing Project which connects volunteers with growing and harvesting fruit and vegetables for our neighbours in need. It has extended back into our Schoolyard Garden. We have also participated with the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup - picking and sorting litter along the southbank of the Fraser Arm. With a Sustainability Grant from the Richmond School District we have purchased blue boxes and paper recycling bins for every classroom and all of our hallways. By unifying the "look" of recycling in our school it is becoming second nature for all our students to recycle, reduce and reuse. "One Step at a Time" we believe that we can make a difference in the enviornment, by creating a sustainable effort with everyone's cooperation. This video is for our entry for the 'BCGreenGames'. We believe that with everyones help, we can curb the effects of climate change and give back to our community, our country, our world.

LYRICS: I love recycling, Ive seen the clear blue skies
Take public transport, Its sad when cars go by
I want a green world, make it sustainable
One step forward, best foot forward, one step closer,
WE ARE GREEN!
I love the oceans, trash doesnt belong there
Dont have to go fast, we all can do our share
I want a green world, its natural beauty seen
One step forward, best foot forward, one step closer,
WE ARE GREEN!
Ill spread intiative, spread the word around
Make a commitment, and let its splendour sound
We want a green world, the jobs for everyone
Sing together, all together, spread the message to the world // Sing together, all together spread the message to the world
One step forward, best foot forward, one step closer,
WE ARE GREEN!
