  • My van is a fifteen passenger van...it's a 6.8l v10. Weighs 9800lbs! Not including all the excess weight. And still would kill this chevy van. Oh! And not including myself! Haha. And this chevy van weighs only 5800lbs? Doesn't sound like a healthy weight to me!!! Haha

  • @Jhmp5 Glad your 6.8 V10 can kill an engine that is a 50 year older design. It certainly will not kill this chevy any longer.

  • The 83 has gone 14.55 @ 88.9 mph in the 1/4 mile with a 2.18 60' time. 350 TPI making roughly 325 HP, 4L60E, 3.73 gears, P295/50/R17 tires.

  • lol watch my video my van has a lil more...pep

  • You realize that mine is a heavily optioned conversion van with a 305, that is probably a L31 350 in a van that is 500-1000 lbs lighter. More power and Lighter= Faster.

My 1983 G20 has a TPI engine that would rip both of them.

  • @Jhmp5 Your van does not weigh 10,000 lbs empty. that's not even legally possible.

And you have lower gears than him .

  • I mean...it's not really all that slow for a vehicle that ways 5800+ lbs an all, but there's really no comparison when you take it to the ford vans I suppose? Having one myself...this vid just makes me laugh! So,idk why this is,but I got my"Ford van",that weighs almost two times more than this"Chevy express"!!! To get a 0-60 in 6.4secs!!! But regulates around 7! Idk...makes no sense! Well maybe because its a"Ford van"! Haha

  • Ik huh??? Pretty damn slow

  • @funkjon

I have a newer video after a PCM program....MUCH quicker to 80....Honestly though, even above 70 mph, it keeps pulling....I can't tell you how many Honda Civics that I have shown tailights to well above 90 mph. This 3-ton rolling tank doesn't have a governor on it. 5,000 rpm in 3rd gear is 115 mph and the fuel shut-off is at 5,800.

  • Pretty slow.

  • well its not doing to bad for a 305 and yes mine is a l31 and i would sure race that 83
