@joniswolfman cheers brother, i cant understand some people aye bro! What they fail to understand is that rener, ryron and the rest of them have been doing this since they were a few years old, all the gracies have! I think theres too much emphasis on which gracie style is better, its attitudes like that which will tear the rift between the 2 families larger, i think its sad, any gracie style is awesome!! if your learning a gracie jiujitsu, then your winning man!! Love and respect to all.

I know Gracie Barra has a promotion calendar but at our Gracie Barra it also depends on the discretion of your teacher....... we had students get their blue belt early and we had students that got their blue belt promotion held back........... still, no one ever questioned the decision of the professor...... Its called respect and honor.......

guys i really wanna know about carlos gracie jr teaching i know he has world class bjj students but what about the self defense part we wanna know is he just into teaching because of the competition or what?

Id love to tangle with you just to see the skills you posess to have such a low opinion of GRAND-MASTER HELIO's RIGHT to promote whoever he feels is deserved of the rank he gives out, who are we as STUDENTS to question our masters decisions to promote anybody? @gutrupture yeah well don't pay attention to Rener, Ryrek, or Rorion. Cause Rorion claims to be a freaking red belt! when they're are only really 3 in the world including Helio himself and the other 2 are over 75 years old. Helio gave out only 5 blackbelts to students outside of his family and the 2 other red belts recieved there black belts from in him in like the 60's. but yeah Rorion claims to be a red belt which is a load of shit red belt=9th degree black belt or highest rank

yeah, i know. renzo is a beast man, i frickin love him and hes been everywhere, mma, ADCC, same with ryan (RIP) he was an animal too, and it took guys like jacare to beat him. i wont say anything about the family but it sucks for renzo, i humbly think he deserves more.
