What does Shahada mean?

Hello Owl, Shahada is the first pillar of Islam. It is the first thing that a new Muslim is required to do in order to be considered a Muslim. A new Muslim needs to profess that he believes that there is no gods but Allah (the creator and sustainer of the heavens and earth), and that Muhammad is his prophet and messenger. And the rest of the Islamic faith and practice would rest on these two believes. In a way Shahada is the door that people have to use to enter ISLAM.
