A simple example of no penetration contact simulation in SolidWorks.
The No Penetration contacts are defined using the Contact Set command. This results in the automatic creation of gap elements on the contacting faces in order to monitor whether parts separate or remain in contact.

  • Excellent video but I would like to know how the axial forces generated by the applied loads are being dealt with.

    i.e. How are constraints which resist axial force set up to permit rotation ( when required) with only frictional resistance?
