I think it's true that most great geniuses are just people who were single-mindedly devoted to their work. They did so much of it and were so focussed that like he says, good stuff is bound to come of it. The idea that some people are just always brilliant, always heroic or always right is unrealistic. That doesn't diminish their achievements though - just being that dedicated is a rare thing.
