News from TV Land: Who is going dancing this season plus

details on when your favorite shows are coming back and the

newest way to show your love for American Idol!

Hi everyone, Andrea Rene here for get the dialy.com and I've

got the details on what's happening in the world of

Television.

The swinging and dancing celebrity phenonmenon known as

"DAncing with the stars" is returning! Okay not for another

month but they did announced who the next celebrity couples

will be! This season you'll be able to watch comedian Adam

Corolla cha cha his way around that stage, plus American Pie

hottie Shannon Elizabeth will be showing off those long legs.

And R and B star Mario, who's got some hip hop skills will be

seeing if he can foxtrot too! Also on tap to perform are some

top atheles like tennis star Monica Seles, NFL Man of the Year

Jason Taylor, and who could forget Olympics ice skating champ

Kristi Yamaguchi, did I forget Priscilla Presley?! If she has

half the moves her late husband had she's a shoe in for the

finals. It all starts with the premiere on March 17th. If you

want a full listing of all the celebrities and their

professional dance partners, head over to abc.com.

Now that the writer's strike is over, many TV shows are

getting in gear to start production as soon as possible,

problem is, it takes a while to produce just one episode of

some of our favorite shows, but have no fear, I have some

updates on when your favorites are returning. Grey's

Anatomony, the ruling show on Thursday nights will return in

April with 4 or 5 new episodes to finish the season. And House

will come back in April as well with new episodes, but bad

news for "24" fans, the combination of the writer's strike,

plus their leading man's prison stay, cut the legs off of the

series this year and it won't return for its next season until

January 2009. Lost, as you probably now is already airing but

will take a break in March and resume in April. Plus Heroes

and Private Practice won't return until the fall season and

they folks at NBC decided to just cancel the Office, ha ha

just kidding, it comes back in April too. All told, the

writer's strike cost Hollywood an estimated $2.5 BILLION

dollars, and hopefully, there won't be a repeat when SAG

negiotations begin on their new contract.

You know you have a soft spot for American Idol like I do!

Okay I'll admit it, I'm kind of a super fan, and if you're one

too, I've got good news! Starting this week the top 24 are

performing and if you miss the performances or just want to

watch them over and over again, you can now BUY Them! Yes it

the latest techonoligical wonder courtesey of iTunes,

naturally. You can purchase full songs from the top 12 guys

and top 12 gals for 99 cents or the full videos for 1.99

beginning March 12th. It's part of Fox new's move to get

viewer's more involved with the idol contestants, the main

reason why all those annoying guest judges were given the

boot. The top 12 men performed last night with some early

favorites already setting the bar and the top 12 ladies

perform tonight so set your Tivo!

That's your television news for now. I'm Andrea Rene and you

just got your news from get the daily.com.
