quality, sound, pretty much everything about the bass in general. it depends on how serious you are, if a 6 string is going to be your standard then dont hold out, get somthing good that'll last, but if its not, AT LEAST get somthing with good resell value, if $600 is to much for a spector (which btw spector specializes in basses) their is a dean for 550 (which for 50 bucks more the spector has higher quality) or their are somewhat cheaper ESPs, I beleive Music 123 or same ashe has them.

don't get a 250 p.o.s.
I just got a spector 6-string for $600, and then theirs the yamaha for $900, both super exellent and no where near 1,200

if u want one just to have one than buy a rogue from musicians friend its only like 250 bucks any other 6 string will be atleast 1200
