While I agree Greg Lake is a genius and he has made some of my favorite music of all time, I have to disagree with your opinion on new music. To call all new music "short, sharp, and shallow" isn't fair. You obviously aren't delving deep enough to find that there's some really amazing music being made these days. If there's one thing that really irks me it's the "all new music is shit" argument.

@castletriglav well islands and lizard are the iffy ones, but everything with john wetton - larks' tongues in aspic, starless and bible black, and red (as you mention) - is, to me the epitome of crimson

In the Court of King Crimson, Brain Salad Surgery, and Lucky Man ARE MILESTONES in the history of music and albums where Mr Greg Lake layed his great vocal skills. Time goes by for sure, but he has left his mark forever. None of the other talentless toads mentioned here can lay claim to that. Few musicians can boast they have recorded a landmark album. He can boast to at least three.
