My conclusion is that GSP did grease, his corner had vaseline and a extra bottle with a blue x on it and they poured it on his back. Penn lost the fight either way but I'm glad they changed the protocol now

I'm speaking of "complaint" in the abstract. Penn's rambling testimony during this hearing didn't help his cause much. But there is no question that Penn had every right (legally, morally, orthadoxically, etc) to voice his displeasure with GSP's greasing.

Who knows if GSP greased on purpose? It is possible that he never even noticed the Vasoline being applied (although I doubt it). Still, the absence of mens rea doesn't abrogate GSP's responsibility to control his corner.

No evidence? GSP's trainer was holding a jar of Vasoline while he was wiping down GSP's back between rounds. It's on video. Check it out. The fight commissioner, instead of calling a penalty on GSP, told his guys to try to wipe the Vasoline off GSP's back. It was amateur hour all the way. So was this kangaroo hearing.

Frank Mir and Chuck Liddell also went to Dana White right after the fight and told him that they saw the trainer wiping GSP with the Vasoline. What more do you want?

@junmr2 Also BJ serra, sherk haven't exactly been known for their great sportsmanship in the past so I can see why they'd complain. And I don't get why when Nate marquardt has been accused of greasing and no one freaks out about him. There are always gonna be haters when someone is as successful as GSP and this is all that is.

@junmr2 5 out of 8? well I can think of 3 off hand. Sherk, BJ and Serra. Just a question for you. You ever wrestled before? You ever wrestled against someone who is completely hairless and sweaty? not exactly easy to get a grip on them. I mean if you use that kind of argument you might as well call half the people in ufc cheaters because so many of them use or have used roids at one point in their careers that it's sickening.

@TheTron56 i see where you coming from with the accusing but at the end of the day its not accusing if he really cheated .. 5 out of 8 fighters he fought said he felt greasy ,slippery .. so he wasnt the only one saying this ..bj took a stand props to him cause we dont need cheaters in the mma sport .

@crazyriders83 really? I don't consider bitching and complaining to the media and fans a legitimate complaint. Sure a complaint was made and NO EVIDENCE was found that concluded that he was greasing up. Why are people still bitching about this?
