(Raise the Volume - Garritan is a tad peculiar)

A composition I drew together in a couple of days in Finale. As you could probably see this composition is devoted to the redcoats, the british line infantry of the 18th century. They have always been of great admiration to myself. Whilst writing the song I tried to catch the essence of the 18th century whilst I had the song go through the emotions beginning with a glorious march out of the town with heroic overtures, a heartbreaking farewell, a march through distant lands, a battlepart inspired by celtic music and of course the ending with the heroic defeat against overwhelming odds at the hands of the enemy.

I felt I was so deeply in love with this era and it's style of warfare, with massive armies exchanging volleys of musketfire under waving regimental banner, thunder of cannons and the strong sense of nationalism, that I had to make something about it. Hope you enjoy it. ^^

All composition is original.

'Tis dost not make it any more of an accomplishment, then what thou, fortitiously enough, sought to unravel. I thank thee for thy compliment, but thou guitarskills overshines this puny accomplishment with awesome glory!

  • What a wonder song friend. I may be american but the British do have fine taste in music. I really enjoy hearing your military music from the revalutionary war. Your music had a nice beat to march to. Good song! I love it!

  • bunch of fags

  • I compose similar music with the same soundbank. And it's good to know that someone else uses it too and makes awesome music too.

  • Kazath, you will someday become Hans Zimmer. If you know him.

  • Rule Britannia & God Save the Queen!

    From Australia.

  • This really reminded me of the game American Conquest. Bloody marvelous! Keep the good work up dear boy!

  • Hi. i like idea, but it dont remind me a epic battle. This pictures illustrate a 1700 - 1800 battle. It turn more intensive if your composition turn a baroque end/classical style. So, this composition appears be in modal/tonal idea. Sure, many movies and games have taken this retoric function, but it sounds me more obscure than a 1700 war. try to listen some jean baptiste lully or charpentier or Beethoven's 3 symphony(it's great!). Hugs and keep it up.

  • Early 90's RPG music. It's MIDI-tastic!

  • @MRohCRACKER 3 dead babys then. but music is beatiful as hell. And for me, hell is paradise, full of tests and survival :) like this song.
