Hard to pinpoint when Dick Clark got into the act but best guess is around 1959 when Bobby Rydell started doing his first songs on Cameo. Then, the following year, when Chubby Checker stole The Twist from Hank Ballard & The Midnighters, that was Clark's doing also. Hank was too raunchy for his prissy tastes and was on the rival King label from Cincinnati. Chubby was Dickie's clean image boy and he plugged the hell out of Chubby and Bobby on Bandstand

How appropriate that the flip side is "New Year's Eve" Pinkfloyd "an oldie, oldie lover til I die"

The rockin'-est Christmas song ever! Sorry it never got that well-deserved measure of recognition. Must have come out before Dick Clark got his hands on Cameo/Parkway records because he would have plugged the hell out of it. Guaranteed!

How did you manage this? I tried to upload this one and some other christmas songs a week ago. They were all rejected.

Just as I always do? In your case is sad if it's because it has Christ in Christmas, because Christ is Christmas. I have tons of Christmas doowop, I just had this put a side to post on ebay & it was never put back in order.
